About Me
Okay, I'm going to finally break down and add a short bio. I'm a native of the U. S. Texas Gulf Coast, the city of Houston to be precise. I studied chemical engineering at the University of Houston. I love mathematics and I had a serious childhood so I age retrograde and the older I get the more childishly I behave.
I make up for my lost youth by indulging my sense of curiosity, and reasonable play. I recently returned to the University of Houston to study and add two bachelor-laureates in environmental engineering and environmental science to my CV. I'm into: astronomy, advanced mathematics, programming, and ferrets and I always maintain a least one as a pet. The rest is anime.
One last thing, my name: Proxima Centaurus - It's: close it has possibilities and if I'm careful I might get there. ^_^
P.S. V6 thinks that people born before 1970 don't enjoy anime. I do D.O.B. : 26th October 1966.

Wet and wonderful for three consecutive days with more in the forecast. I love those little droplets of water; and after two summers of hotter and drier than I've ever known in this city it is about time for the promise of global warming to deliver the forecasted wetter conditions. I can accept the human folly that causes increased temperatures but, to heck with the arid climate. I was born and raised on the US Gulf Coast, and for me the rule is better a rain-forrest than a desert.

Thanks for your comment :) Usually I don´t extend my descriptions because my English is a little rusty and sometimes I don't have patient or time to do it. Normally I explain the technical work and not the idea, so, this will be a challenge to me xD
I cut the eyes for two reasons. First, they give a expression of a taste of evil to the girl and I want to give her a softer look. Second, I want the wall to be centered in the her hand, to welcome the viewers. The missing eyes also means that if you took her hand and go with her it's because you trust her blindly. I will add this part to my wall description.

So, what is the concept? It is the idea of the female samurai. That class of little considered superwomen in Japanese history. These women have always been presented as: cultured, beautiful, adept in combat, and pretty much everything any man could ever want, and any woman would envy. In this particular case the story of Tomoe Gozen. So if you could meet one of these women today, what would she look like and where would you find her? What kind of anime character would she be? How should a guy approach a woman like her? Be assertive? Show her that you are her equal? Let her come to you?

Gee, you are a hard mistress. With questions like these you had better tell me you are an arts, advertising, or interior design major. Remember I am trying to frame the battle scene so, at the end of the process the battle scene should be placed in an anime setting. Three elements are applied to this task:
1] the wall is BG to the scene (texture and color for artistic sentiment), 2] a picture frame encloses the scene (just a matter of proper setting - art in a museum), 3] the character focuses the observer's attention into the center of the scene (I'm not happy with element #3)

I'm taking diploma in graphic design actually.
wrong choice of background. i suggest something scenic instead. a painted background would work most effectively to make it come to life. the girl is really good looking.
you are incapable of executing your vision. the end product is not even close to what you had planned. It's a nice idea that you have but it shows none of that in your wall.
As I said before you could try finding a style of wallpaper you like and develop your own style from there instead of diving head on and doing things from scratch while having little to no clue of what you're doing. If you do have a certain idea, it's best that you sketch it out first, plan it properly and then you do the final artwork, tweaking it afterward maybe.
By art direction I mean the style that you're using. I probably shouldn't use designer lingo in an amateur site ._.

Nothing of any note. Just finished another semester of advanced engineering studies (I am attempting to add an environmental engineering degree to my CV), and I decided to use a few of the hours I have away from classes and work to submit my first wall here at AP. Where exactly did you decide to complete your studies?

How I wrote you in pvt I misterunderstoond the rule about "wallpaper with fanart in it" and since that wall is a fanart, I deleted it...more than this, all my works from now will be fanart-wallpaper, so I couldn't enjoy the site, since they'll be all rejected :( It was short, but thanks for the warm welcome, anyway! I signed in today and was about to tell you that rain season finally came to Mexico City, and then I found your comment on how Houston is dry as a desert. Now I feel guilty :( I hope rain gets there soon, too ^^

Hopefully you are remaining, healthy, happy, and wise. This morning, some of the moisture from the Gulf has reached the city and we are receiving a small amount of rain also. It is not enough to change the drought conditions here, but after 5 months without rain, this is a nice change. ^^

Mexico City is actually a little dry because rainy season is delayed. Many parts are green, but the rest is yellow :P I'm glad I could speak to you again, my friend :)

I used to have brown hair but everyone in the hosue i am living with wanted to be a weird family so we all died our hair differently. Mine was blonde with blue, green, and red. my sisters was pink and black, my other sister was black and blue, our moms is purple and her girlfriends is elmo red. I plan on buying some bleach and bleaching it all blonde. i want the colors out. lol

i did submit two in and got a 2oo paper deduction. but the i dont know how i got so far behind. i subbmitted 3 papers in a group and i was 1000 papers in the whole got it down to 600 then got denied for my vectors and was back at 1k. so i have been trying to get my papers back up!
